OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WON’T IGNITE

For an electric stove doesn’t turn on, check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and all circuit breakers are on. You will want to check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the oven power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is on, then some other part will have to be replaced. The cause of the issue could be the surface element, infinite switch, oven burner igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER DOESN’T HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that doesn’t heat will not do much good. An oven does not heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. A burner does not ignite if an element is broken or the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We are able to repair these common issues in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

It is reasonable to assume the control panel on a stove or oven is broken when the program or timer functions don’t work. OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You should have a hot oven. But not too hot! If the heat is extremely hot, it could be due to an issue with the sensor or thermostat. Our repairmen are able to identify the reason for the issue and then repair it. Be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is when an igniter will glow but does not light. The cause is sometimes from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We are able to determine whether we are able to repair these parts or if we have to replace the parts.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

New self-cleaning models of ovens sometimes experience door issues often. The door will not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to figure out why the door doesn’t open up and then complete the necessary repair in order to put an end to the issue.
